EXO members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin — known collectively as CBX — have expressed their willingness to rejoin EXO’s full-group activities, stating they are ready to accept all conditions set by SM Entertainment following the conclusion of their legal dispute with the company.
In a statement released Wednesday, their agency INB100 confirmed that the trio remains committed to reuniting with the rest of EXO. “Both INB100 and CBX have promised to continue EXO’s group activities and have made every effort to make it happen,” the statement read.
According to INB100, CBX first met with SM in July to discuss the possibility of returning to group promotions and entered detailed negotiations in September.
During a second mediation session on October 2, the members reportedly agreed to all of SM’s proposed terms for EXO’s year-end comeback and cleared their personal schedules for December, awaiting the company’s confirmation.
However, INB100 said it was surprised when SM recently announced EXO’s upcoming fan meeting on December 13 and 14, as well as plans to release the group’s eighth full-length album early next year — both without CBX’s involvement. SM confirmed that these events would include EXO members Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay.
“CBX members deeply value their fans who have supported EXO for so many years and sincerely wanted to return as part of the full group,” INB100 said. “We remain committed to reaching an agreement as soon as possible so that EXO can reunite as one.”
Founded by Baekhyun, INB100 represents Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin. The trio’s legal conflict with SM began when CBX accused the label of withholding proper payment records, while SM alleged the members failed to pay 10 percent of their solo earnings for using EXO-related intellectual property. The court has since ruled in SM’s favor.
