Cardi B has officially returned to the music scene with her much-awaited new album after a nearly seven-year break. On Friday, the 32-year-old rapper released her second studio album, Am I the Drama?, a 23-track project that brings together several global music icons.
Among the featured artists are Lizzo, Selena Gomez, Janet Jackson, Summer Walker, Kehlani, Tyla, and Megan Thee Stallion, making the album one of her most star-studded projects to date.
The release comes just days after Cardi B announced the Little Miss Drama Tour, where she will perform across more than 30 cities in North America.
Sharing her excitement on NBC’s Today show, she said, “Cardi B is going on tour!” Fans can now expect her long-awaited comeback to reach stages nationwide in the coming months.
Explaining the long gap between albums, Cardi B opened up to Billboard about her journey over the past seven years. “I’ve experienced a lot. The good and bad of fame, the hate, jealousy, drama, balancing my career with my personal life and growing up and maturing,” she said.
According to the I Like It singer, the time away taught her how to manage emotions, navigate the challenges of fame, and approach life with more strategy. “I’ve learned to control my emotions and understand how life works and how to play chess better,” she added.
In addition to her musical comeback, Cardi B revealed major personal news — she is expecting her fourth child. Speaking on CBS Mornings on September 17, she confirmed her pregnancy with NFL star Stefon Diggs. “I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” she said, emphasizing the strong support system she shares with Diggs.
