Pakistan’s High Commissioner in the UK hosted Mansoor Janjua, Chief Operating Officer of the RUDA

In a significant diplomatic meeting today, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Faisal, welcomed Brig. (R) Mansoor Janjua, Chief Operating Officer of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA), at the Pakistan High Commission in London.

The discussion centered on the Ravi City project, a visionary urban development initiative aimed at transforming the economic and infrastructural landscape of Punjab, Pakistan.

During the briefing, Janjua emphasized the potential of the Ravi City project, designed to tackle ecological challenges, reduce pollution, and create significant economic opportunities. He sought the embassy’s support in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) from the UK, underscoring the importance of international collaboration for the project’s success.

Dr. Faisal expressed keen interest in the initiative, recognizing its potential to boost Punjab’s economy and promote sustainable urban development. He assured RUDA of the High Commission’s full support in advocating for the project within the UK, aligning with the broader Pakistan-UK cooperation under the ‘Pathway to Prosperity’ initiative, which aims to attract investments to enhance economic growth and strengthen bilateral ties.

Additionally, COO Mansoor Janjua met with Lord Wajid Khan, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government, UK. This meeting focused on fostering relationships and promoting RUDA’s initiatives.

Janjua described the Ravi City project as environmentally friendly, emphasizing its commitment to harmonizing modernity with nature while addressing urban and riparian coexistence.

RUDA continues to engage with the international community to attract investment and expertise for the Ravi City project, marking an important step towards establishing global partnerships and securing the necessary funding for its realization. Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to driving economic growth through strategic collaboration.

With ongoing discussions and increasing interest from foreign investors, the Ravi City project is set to become a symbol of progress, innovation, and sustainable urban development in Pakistan.
