Renowned Pakistani artist Bushra Ansari was honored with the Star of Pakistan Award during a prestigious ceremony held in a committee room of the UK Parliament, making her the first female drama actor from Pakistan to receive this recognition.
The award was presented to Ansari by MP Yasmin Qureshi, who also hosted the event organized by the British Asian Society and Samara Events UK. This recognition celebrates her outstanding contributions to Pakistani dramas and her lifelong dedication to the entertainment industry.
Upon receiving the award, Ansari emphasized the role of Pakistani dramas in showcasing the country’s culture, traditional fashion, and Urdu language to audiences in the UK and globally. She expressed gratitude for the honor and dedicated it to all the artists and storytellers who have worked tirelessly to represent Pakistan’s rich artistic heritage on the international stage.
“It is a privilege to receive this honor in such a prestigious setting,” Ansari remarked.

MP Yasmin Qureshi praised Ansari’s enduring contributions, calling her an inspiration for aspiring artists and a true cultural ambassador for Pakistan.

The ceremony was attended by community leaders, artists, and admirers of the veteran actor, including MP Afzal Khan, A Haq (Chairman of the British Asian Society), Maria Soraya, and Amal Hafiez.
