RAWALPINDI: Qaisar Mahmood, the younger brother of a senior journalist, was deprived of his motorcycle, cash, and an expensive cell phone in Rawalpindi.
Two men attacked Qaisar when he was on his way home on his motorcycle number LEY 19-1950 at 10 pm.
Resultantly Qaisar Mahmood fell on the road and became unconscious as he sustained minor injuries in the head, shoulder, and leg. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital near Raja Bazar by the passers-by, where he was given emergency treatment.
An hour after treatment, the doctors discharged him from the hospital. He reached the spot to get his motorcycle but was shocked to see that his motorcycle had disappeared from there. Upon checking his pockets, he was further shocked to see that someone had stolen his cell phone and Rs 22,000 in cash from his pockets. The thief had also stolen his CNIC, etc.
Qaisar Mahmood has filed a complaint with the concerned Police Station and waiting for the registration of an FIR.
Qaisar Mahmood has appealed to the Inspector General of Punjab Police to take action and expedite the FIR registration and recovery of stolen items including cash.
