ISLAMABAD: Banks across Pakistan are operating under revised weekly schedules, with different timings observed on weekdays, Fridays, and limited operations on weekends, according to banking officials.
From Monday to Thursday, bank branches generally operate from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a prayer and lunch break from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Some branches, however, remain open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. without any break, depending on operational requirements.
On Fridays, banks follow extended and adjusted schedules in view of congregational prayers. Most branches operate from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., observing a prayer and lunch break from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Meanwhile, certain branches operate from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a longer break from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Saturday operations are limited to selected branches, which remain open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. without any break.
Similarly, on Sundays, only designated branches provide services, operating from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Banking authorities have advised customers to confirm branch availability in advance, particularly on weekends, as only select branches operate on Saturdays and Sundays. Customers are also encouraged to utilize digital and online banking channels to avoid inconvenience.
