Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is recovering from surgery after being attacked during an attempted burglary at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. The incident occurred in the children’s room, where Saif confronted the intruders and was reportedly stabbed six times, according to Indian media. The injuries included wounds to his neck and spine.
Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital and Research Center at 3:30 AM. The hospital’s Chief Operating Officer confirmed that the actor sustained six stab wounds, with two serious injuries, including one near his spine.
Reports indicate that Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children were unharmed and escaped the scene safely.
“There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence,” read a statement from the actor’s team. “He is currently in the hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to remain patient. This is a police matter, and we will provide updates as the situation unfolds.”
In a separate statement, Kareena Kapoor Khan reassured fans about the family’s safety and requested privacy. “There was an attempted burglary at our residence last night,” she said. “Saif sustained an injury on his arm and is undergoing a procedure in the hospital. The rest of the family is safe. We request the media and fans to avoid speculation as the police continue their investigation. Thank you all for your concern.”
