Pakistan and Russia have formalized an agreement to revive Pakistan Steel Mills, marking a pivotal development in bilateral industrial cooperation.
The agreement was finalized during a visit to Moscow by a Pakistani delegation led by Haroon Akhtar, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant. Officials from both nations signed the protocol, with Pakistan’s Secretary for Industries and Production and senior Russian representatives endorsing the accord.
Under the agreement, Russia will assist in the modernization and technical rehabilitation of Pakistan Steel Mills, once a cornerstone of the country’s industrial infrastructure.
Haroon Akhtar described the partnership as a new chapter in Pakistan’s industrial growth, emphasizing that the initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision to strengthen the nation’s manufacturing sector.
He added that the revival of the steel mills is expected to enhance industrial output and create new employment opportunities, calling the agreement a milestone for the country’s economic future.
