On Sunday, the top aide of Joe Bidenโs said that the incoming President is set to sign about a dozen executive orders on his first day in office.
Ron Klain, Incoming Biden chief of staff presented a memo to the new White House senior staff saying that the issues of the pandemic, the ailing US economy, climate change, and racial injustice in America would be addressed in executive orders.
โAll of these crises demand urgent action. In his first ten days in office, President-elect Biden will take decisive action to address these four crises, prevent other urgent and irreversible harms, and restore Americaโs place in the world.โ
Klain said in the memo.
Taking over White House from Donald Trump means Bidenโs plate overflowing with dreadful challenges. With a debilitated economy, the job market has 10 million lesser jobs available as compared to when the pandemic began. More so, millions of Americans refuse to accept Biden as the legitimate president.
Biden has introduced plans to seek $1.9 trillion in order to revive the economy and more plans to speed up Covid vaccination.
As promised previously, Biden will sign orders for the US to rejoin the Paris Climate accord and reverse the ban on the entry of people from some Muslim countries.
โPresident-elect Biden will take action — not just to reverse the gravest damages of the Trump administration — but also to start moving our country forward.โ
Klain said.
