Atletico Madrid defender Andrea Medina was rushed to the hospital after suffering a traumatic brain injury during Wednesday’s Women’s Champions League clash against Juventus at the Centro Deportivo Alcala de Henares. The 21-year-old Spanish left-back collapsed following a collision with Juventus forward Barbara Bonansea, leaving fans, players, and commentators in shock.
Medina remained unconscious on the pitch for several tense minutes before Atletico’s medical staff provided urgent treatment. She was then stretchered off and transported by ambulance to a hospital for further evaluation.
