A major drug bust took place at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport as the Airport Security Force (ASF) successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics.
During routine security checks, ASF officials discovered 980 grams of ice heroin hidden inside the luggage of a passenger traveling to Doha.
The suspect, identified as Muhammad Wali, had concealed the illicit drugs in his bag, but ASF’s sharp-eyed officers detected the contraband. The seized drugs are valued at over PKR 10 million.
Following the bust, both the suspect and the drugs were handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further legal action. Authorities have stepped up surveillance at the airport to combat smuggling and ensure the safety of passengers.
