Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has called for stronger action against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former War Minister Yoav Gallant, stating that the arrest warrants issued for them are insufficient. He insisted they should face death sentences for their crimes against humanity.
Ayatollah Khamenei made these remarks on Monday during a meeting with thousands of Basij volunteer forces, while millions of others watched live on television. He condemned the actions of the Zionist regime in Palestine and Lebanon, saying, “The foolish Zionists believe that bombarding homes, hospitals, and public spaces is a victory. No, the world does not see it that way.”
Resistance and Accountability
The Leader emphasized that the Zionist regime has failed to achieve victory in Gaza and Lebanon, despite its atrocities. He argued, “The arrest warrant for Netanyahu is inadequate. A death sentence should be issued for him and the other criminal leaders of the Zionist regime.”
He pointed out that the brutal actions of Israel have backfired, strengthening the resolve of the Resistance. “The courageous Palestinian and Lebanese youth, facing constant bombardment and the threat of death, find no option but to fight and resist. These criminal acts are, in effect, expanding the Resistance Front.”
Ayatollah Khamenei underscored the necessity of further expanding the Resistance Front, asserting that its current strength will grow manifold in the future.
Criticism of Global Powers
He also criticized the policies of imperialist powers, particularly the U.S. and European nations, comparing them unfavorably to Pharaoh’s rule described in the Quran. “Pharaoh belittled his people to maintain control, but he was more noble than today’s rulers of America and Europe. They not only humiliate their own people but also exploit and demean other nations to plunder their resources.”
The Role of Basij Forces
Turning his focus to Iran’s Basij forces, Ayatollah Khamenei praised their role in resisting external pressures and psychological warfare. “The spirit of the Basij, rooted in self-belief, acts as a shield against the domineering powers’ attempts to humiliate and dishearten the nation. This spirit will undoubtedly triumph over the policies of the U.S., the West, and the Zionist regime, both within Iran and across the Resistance Front.”
He concluded by emphasizing that this unwavering spirit and determination would continue to counter all forms of oppression and domination, solidifying the role of the Basij as a vital force in Iran’s resistance.
