Singer and model Annie Khalid, best known for her hit song Mahiya, recently opened up about her daughter Isha’s critical health journey, drawing overwhelming support from fans and fellow celebrities. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Annie shared the traumatic events of January 23, 2024, when her then seven-year-old daughter suffered two cardiac arrests within eight hours, resulting in severe complications.
“She was a bright, healthy child,” Annie wrote. “But arrhythmia and hypoxia caused oxygen deprivation for 45 agonizing minutes. Her organs began to shut down.” Isha was intubated, placed on life support, and hooked to a heart-lung bypass machine and dialysis. Annie described watching her energetic little girl lay still, surrounded by machines, as doctors feared irreversible brain damage, organ failure, and paralysis. Diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, Isha lost the ability to walk and was confined to a wheelchair.

Despite the grim prognosis, Annie clung to her faith. “Where medicine had no answers, Allah did,” she wrote. “She’s alive, healing, smiling—and Insha’Allah, she will walk again.”
Her post touched many, prompting celebrities like Farhan Saeed, Zara Noor Abbas, and Hadiqa Kiani to share emotional responses. Saeed called the story heartbreaking and prayed for Isha’s swift recovery. Abbas praised Annie’s strength, calling her decision to prioritize motherhood over fame an act of rare courage and love.
Other public figures, including Muniba Mazari, Nadia Hussain, and Aisha Malik, also expressed their admiration and prayers. Annie concluded her post by asking for continued prayers, calling Isha “the most courageous, resilient, and beautiful girl I’ve ever known.”
Her story has become a testament to a mother’s unwavering strength and the boundless mercy of faith in the face of despair.
