Hollywood star Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing for a major life change, with plans to leave Los Angeles once her youngest children turn 18, according to a new Us Weekly report.
The actress, director, and humanitarian has largely stayed in L.A. over the years to ensure her children remained close to their father, Brad Pitt. The former couple share six children: Maddox (24), Pax (21), Zahara (20), Shiloh (19), and twins Knox and Vivienne (17).
New Chapter After Twins Turn 18
An insider close to Jolie revealed that she’s “very excited” about the next chapter of her life and is planning to relocate once Knox and Vivienne celebrate their 18th birthday.
“She’s been waiting for the right time, and that moment is approaching,” the source said.
While Jolie is not expected to settle in one place permanently, she may divide her time between a few locations that hold deep personal meaning:
-
Cambodia, where she adopted Maddox and owns a home
-
France, where her twins were born
-
Africa, which is deeply connected to Zahara and Shiloh’s heritage
“These are very special places for her,” the insider added, noting that Jolie also has close friends and confidants in each region whom she considers extended family.
Jolie: “I Don’t Recognize My Country”
During a recent press event in Spain for her upcoming film Couture, Jolie reflected on her place as an artist in the United States. When asked how she feels about being a creative in America today, she paused and said:
“It is a very difficult question. I love my country, but at this time, I don’t recognize my country.”
Her comments hinted at a growing disconnection from the current political and cultural climate in the U.S., possibly influencing her decision to step away from Los Angeles.
