Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie, famous Hollywood actress and humanitarian is preparing to leave Los Angeles for good, marking a major shift in her life after years tied to a custody arrangement with ex-husband Brad Pitt.
Jolie shares six children with Pitt and has long expressed her wish to live outside the Los Angeles city. Jolie stayed in LA only because of the custody agreement following her high-profile split.
According to sources close to her, Jolie has been scouting several locations overseas and plans to relocate as soon as her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year.
โAngelina never wanted to live in LA full time,โ the source said. โSheโll be very happy when sheโs able to leave Los Angeles.โ
Jolie is considering Cambodia, a country close to her heart. Cambodia is the birthplace of her eldest son, Maddoxโamong other international destinations where she can enjoy more privacy and a slower pace of life.
The Maria star purchased her 1913 mansion in 2017 for $24.5 million. The sprawling property spans more than 11,000 square feet, featuring six bedrooms and ten bathrooms, and once belonged to legendary director Cecil B. DeMille.
While the home has been a serene retreat, Jolie has openly shared her struggles with life in Los Angeles, noting that she values privacy, peace, and safety for her familyโqualities she feels are easier to find abroad.
Moving forward
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finalized their divorce in 2024, ending their eight-year legal battle. They share custody of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.
For Jolie, the upcoming move represents more than just a change of sceneryโitโs a symbolic step into a new chapter of independence, away from the spotlight of Hollywood and toward a quieter life overseas.
