ISLAMABAD: Security forces eliminated all militants of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, referred to as Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists. Pakistanโs armed forces launched a clearance operation at Cadet College Wana soon after terrorist attack.
According to officials, four Khawarij and one suicide bomber were killed during the coordinated push. No student or teacher was harmed, while the premises were secured and cleared of landmines. All cadets and staff members were safely rescued as the operation entered its final phase.
Cautious Approach Ensured Safety
It was stated that the operation was conducted carefully because Afghan militants were present inside the building, and the safety of students was paramount. The operation will now continue until its complete conclusion.
Investigations and International Coordination
Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced that investigations into the Islamabad and Wana incidents would continue and that concrete evidence would be shared with international partners. He commended the armed forces for averting what he described as an event that โcould have been ten times the scale of the APS tragedy.โ
Tarar reiterated Pakistanโs demand that Afghan territory not be used for terrorism and said that proof of cross-border facilitation would be presented globally.
โState of Warโ
Meanwhile, Khawaja Asif stated that Pakistan was in a โstate of warโ following the twin attacks _ suicide attack in Islamabad’s district court and terrorists attack on cadet college in Wana. Defence Minister warned Afghanistan of action if Kabul failed to act against militants operating from Afghan soil.
