The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood has revealed that her acting paychecks often go toward adorable — and admittedly impractical — purchases.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE magazine, the actress opened up about her love for whimsical and novelty household items, confessing, “It’s always cute things. I spend so much money on cute things that are just quite pointless.”
She added with a laugh, “Like, I won’t buy a new laptop even if it’s broken and not working, but I will go and spend loads of money on my tiny miniature toy mice that I think are sweet.”
Despite her growing fame, Aimee shared that she’s still using the same laptop she bought with her first major paycheck — complete with an enduring Apple Music subscription — and has yet to upgrade her tech.
But when it comes to fashion, the Sex Education alum admits she’s starting to see the appeal of a wardrobe refresh. “I’m actually trying to get better at that because I think I need to go and treat myself more,” she said.
Recalling a recent comment from her agent, Aimee shared: “She was like, ‘Why are you wearing these clothes?’ I came in and looked so scruffy, and she said, ‘Maybe you should just go and have a shopping spree?’ And it will probably feel really fun and good.”
Whether it’s tiny toy mice or overdue shopping sprees, Aimee’s spending habits reflect a grounded and charmingly quirky side of the rising star.
