Security sources have claimed that India’s portrayal of the Pahalgam attack has been undermined by the release of artificially generated suspect sketches, calling into question the credibility of the entire narrative.
According to experts, the suspect images released by Indian authorities were not drawn by hand or based on eyewitness accounts, but instead created using artificial intelligence software. Analysts noted that the facial structures, proportions, and expressions in the sketches showed clear signs of being algorithmically generated, lacking the variability expected in real human depictions.
Sources allege that India used these AI-generated visuals to construct a “false and dramatized narrative” around the April 22 incident in Pahalgam, aiming to influence both domestic and international opinion. However, they claim that the lack of tangible evidence and the perceived artificiality of the sketches caused the narrative to unravel.
Government officials in Pakistan have condemned the release of the images, calling it a “deliberate attempt at misinformation” by the Modi administration. They vowed to raise the issue on international platforms, accusing New Delhi of manipulating facts and engaging in propaganda.
Pakistani commentators and social media users have also weighed in, accusing India of fabricating details and asserting that such tactics further damage New Delhi’s credibility on the global stage.
