Tamannaah Bhatia recently rejected the marriage speculation, calling the internet chatter amusing yet uncomfortable.
Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has addressed long-running rumours linking him to Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia. Speaking to reporters in Karachi, he described her as a “good actress” and clarified the circumstances of their meeting.
“It’s been 12 years since I met Bhatia,” Razzaq explained. “We met only once, at a function.” When asked if he liked her, the cricketer smiled and replied, “All girls look beautiful on camera.”
The rumours first surfaced after a photograph of Razzaq and Bhatia inside a jewellery shop went viral. Social media users speculated that the two were shopping for wedding jewellery, which sparked claims of a secret relationship and even marriage.
Bhatia recently dismissed the speculation in an interview. She admitted that such unfounded stories often spread quickly, creating both amusement and discomfort. “According to the internet, I was briefly married to Abdul Razzaq,” she said. “I’m sorry, sir. You have two or three children. I don’t know about your life, but it was so embarrassing.”
She recalled that the viral photograph was taken at a jewellery store event and nothing more. Bhatia laughed at how the internet twisted a simple picture into a major rumour.
This is not the first time the actress has been linked to a cricketer. In 2010, she appeared in a commercial alongside Virat Kohli. Their photo together led to speculation about a possible relationship. Bhatia later clarified, “I only met him for one day during the shoot. We never talked or met again.”
Both Razzaq and Bhatia have now publicly rejected the rumours, making it clear that the viral stories hold no truth.
