HEC Unveils Scholarships for Pakistani Students to Study in Romania

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced an exceptional opportunity for Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) students, unveiling scholarships for studies at the esteemed University of Politehnica in Romania for the academic year 2024-25.

These scholarships, initiated by the Romanian Government, are tailored for Master’s and PhD programs focusing on Engineering and Information Technology fields.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants targeting the Master’s program must hold a Bachelor’s degree (16 years) and should be under 35 years of age at the time of application. Similarly, those aspiring to pursue the PhD/Doctoral program must possess a Masters degree MS/MPhil (17/18 years) and be under 40 years of age upon application. Additionally, all applicants must provide a valid HAT test score.

The University of Politehnica Bucharest, Romania, is offering a variety of programs including Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Aerospace Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Computer & Information Technology, System Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Applied Engineering Science, Engineering, and Management.

Application Process

Prospective candidates are encouraged to apply online through the HEC portal at https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk/. Upon registration and completion of their profile, applicants should select the “University of Politehnica Scholarship” option. The deadline for online application submission on the HEC portal is May 3, 2024.
