Hailey Bieber recently shared her experience with a hidden skin issue during the promotion of her Rhode’s entire dewy-skin skincare routine.
The influential beauty entrepreneur posted a TikTok video, showcasing her skin experiencing issues, and captioned it, “This is an example of perioral dermatitis, a skin condition that looks similar to acne or rosacea.”
In the majority of instances, this condition presents itself through small, red lesions found in the lower facial region, particularly within the nasal folds and the area surrounding the mouth.
The model, with the camera capturing both sides of her face, discussed her current situation by saying, “Unfortunately, I’m experiencing a severe breakout at the moment. I thought it would be helpful to share the products I use to manage it.”
She briefly explained all the products she employs to manage her condition. “At night, I apply a prescription azelaic acid cream that significantly reduces inflammation. During the day, I use Clindamycin, another prescription obtained from a dermatologist, which also aids in alleviating the issue.”
Hailey, the founder of Rhode Skin, provided additional insights on combining her prescription topicals with Rhode’s Glazing Milk, which she described as “gentle and effective in calming the skin.” In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she discussed the dedication and effort required to achieve and maintain flawless skin.
She expressed, “I don’t think that displaying flawless skin is our sole commitment as a brand. I am aware of my great skin, and I strive to be genuinely transparent about the dedication required for maintaining it.”
Recently, Hailey faced criticism for seemingly imitating Sabrina Carpenter. This occurred just a few hours after her husband, Justin Bieber, started following her on Instagram.
