Tomorrow, a westerly wave is expected to bring rainfall across the nation

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has announced that a westerly wave is anticipated to arrive in the western regions of the country on the 27th of March, which is tomorrow.

On Thursday, 28th March, an anticipated weather system is expected to affect the upper and central regions, potentially continuing until 31st March.

Beginning 27th March, numerous areas in Balochistan will experience rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms. This weather pattern is anticipated to continue until the 29th. Conversely, the southern regions of the province should prepare for dry conditions and potentially dust-raising winds.

A series of rainstorms accompanied by wind and thunder are forecasted for the majority of districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from March 27th to 31st. During these days, there may be occasional brief pauses in the precipitation. Additionally, isolated instances of heavy snowfall and hailstorms are anticipated on the 29th and 30th of March, particularly over the mountainous regions.

From 27th March to 1st April, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir regions can anticipate regular rain and snow showers over their hills. There might be occasional breaks in this pattern. Furthermore, isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms are predicted for the 29th and 30th of March.

Beginning 27th March, these areas – Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, and numerous Punjab districts – are forecasted to receive rainfall until 31st March.

A rainy period, accompanied by wind and possible thunderstorms, is forecasted for the southern Punjab districts from the 28th to the 30th of March, with occasional breaks in between.

On 28th and 29th March, the districts of Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, and Dadu in Sindh are anticipated to experience rainfall. Meanwhile, the southern regions of the province are forecasted to have dry weather and potentially dust-raising winds.

Heavy rainfall could potentially cause landslides in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan on either the 29th or 30th of March.
