ISLAMABAD: Pakistanโs Army Chief General Asim Munir met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh.
The Inter-Services Public Relations issued a statement detailing their discussions, which encompassed various topics including bilateral cooperation and regional security.
The meeting, attended by Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia, General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, Engineer Talal Abdullah Al Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia, and other high-ranking military officials, was also confirmed by the Saudi Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
According to ISPR, Prince Mohammad Bin Salman emphasized the longstanding and robust relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, describing them as historic brotherly nations that have consistently supported each other.
He expressed a keen interest in further strengthening bilateral ties and assured Pakistan of Saudi Arabiaโs unwavering support in the future.
Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has reiterated the Armyโs unwavering commitment to meeting the expectations of the nation during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet members.
According to a statement from the militaryโs media wing, General Munir emphasized that the Army stands ready to firmly support the government in addressing the security challenges confronting Pakistan.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was accorded a warm reception by COAS Munir, who also oversaw a guard of honour. The prime minister paid homage to the martyrs by laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
