Funeral Prayers Offered for Martyred Officers Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar

The funeral prayers of Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar were solemnly held at Chaklala Garrison Rawalpindi on Sunday, honoring their ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The two officers were among the seven soldiers martyred in a terrorist attack in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district a day earlier.

The ceremony was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, along with senior government officials, military personnel, and the families of the martyred, as well as local residents, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations.

President Zardari, acknowledging the unwavering dedication and valor of the armed forces, stated, “Pakistan Army has consistently upheld the ideals of Faith, Unity, and Discipline.” He commended the soldiers for their professionalism and loyalty in the relentless fight against terrorism.

The sacrifice of Lieutenant Colonel Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar exemplifies the unyielding resolve of Pakistan’s soldiers to defend the nation. President Zardari emphasized that the entire nation stands in solidarity with the Armed Forces during such challenging times.

Following the funeral prayers, the bodies of the martyred officers were transported to their respective hometowns, where they will be laid to rest with full military honors. Lieutenant Colonel Kashif Ali, 39, and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar, 23, will be remembered for their bravery and selflessness in the face of adversity.

The swift response of Pakistan Army to the terrorist attack, led by Lieutenant Colonel Kashif, underscores the commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security. Despite the tragic loss, the courage displayed by the officers reflects the indomitable spirit of Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism.
