Saudi Arabia Launches Ramadan Gift Programme for Pakistanis

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has initiated a generous gift programme for Pakistan during the holy month of Ramadan, distributing high-quality dates as tokens of goodwill. Named the “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Gift Programme,” the initiative was inaugurated at the Saudi embassy in Islamabad, with Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malkyi and other officials present.

Ambassador Maliki highlighted that the programme, launched under the directives of King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, aims to distribute premium dates in Pakistan and other countries. The distribution of 10 tonnes of dates, totaling 30,000 individual gifts, symbolizes the enduring brotherly relations between the two nations.

The announcement follows a congratulatory phone call from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for Pakistan. In response, PM Shehbaz expressed gratitude for the warm message and conveyed best wishes for the health and wellbeing of King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.

PM Shehbaz extended heartfelt Ramadan greetings to the Saudi leadership and people, praying for peace and prosperity during the holy month. Additionally, he extended an invitation to the crown prince to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience, further strengthening the longstanding ties between the two nations.
