PTI Organizes Nationwide Rallies to Protest Alleged Election Rigging

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to organize rallies across the country on Sunday to protest against alleged rigging in the general elections. The party plans to conduct processions in multiple cities, with a major rally scheduled in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur addressed the media from the rally site on the eve of the protest, assuring that the party’s demonstration would remain peaceful. However, he reiterated the PTI’s grievances regarding pre-poll and poll-day rigging, emphasizing that even foreign observers had not accepted the election results.

Gandapur underscored the party’s demand for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja. The chief minister expressed dissatisfaction with the election process and outcomes, echoing the PTI’s stance on the alleged irregularities.

Gandapur announced that he would not attend the oath-taking ceremony of the president. It’s noteworthy that he had also skipped the oath-taking ceremony for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The PTI’s nationwide rallies highlight the party’s continued emphasis on electoral transparency and fairness. The protest serves as a platform for the party to voice its concerns and rally public support against perceived irregularities in the electoral process. As the political landscape in Pakistan remains dynamic, these demonstrations reflect the ongoing discourse surrounding electoral integrity and accountability. The PTI’s mobilization underscores the importance of public engagement and advocacy for transparent democratic processes in the country.
