Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s 15-Member Cabinet Sworn In During Oath-Taking Ceremony at Governor House

PESHAWAR: On Wednesday, the 15-member cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) officially assumed office, taking the oath in a ceremony held at the Governor House in KP.

Following the precedent set by the Punjab cabinet, KP’s 15-member cabinet took the oath under the administration of KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur leads the provincial government, and the oath-taking ceremony marked a significant milestone for the newly appointed ministers.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Amin Gandapur, a recent addition to the political landscape, and the founder of PTI held a pivotal meeting to finalize the names of politicians who would form the provincial cabinet.

The 15-member cabinet includes individuals such as Arshad Ayub, Shakeel Ahmed, Fazal Hakeem Khan, Muhammad Adnan Qadri, Aqibullah, Mohammad Sajjad, Meena Khan, and Fazal Shakur. Additionally, Nazir Ahmad Abbasi, Pakhtun Yar, Aftab Alam, Khaliqur Rehman, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Faisal Khan Turkai, and Mohammad Zahir Shah Toro are integral members of the cabinet.

Ali Amin Gandapur, the PTI candidate, secured the position of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after winning the election. During the assembly session, PTI candidate Ali Amin Gandapur garnered 90 votes out of 106, while PML-N candidate Dr. Ibadullah Khan managed to secure 16 votes.

Gandapur’s political journey began in 2013 when he was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a member of the PTI. His nomination for the Chief Ministership was made by PTI founder Imran Khan.
