The ambassador extended an invitation for a royal visit to ASP Shehrbano and her family as a gesture of appreciation for her courageous intervention in saving a woman from a violent mob at Lahore’s Achhra Market.
In their meeting, Ambassador Al-Malki commended ASP Shehrbano’s bravery and assured her that the Saudi government would cover all expenses for her and her family’s travel to Saudi Arabia, treating them as royal guests. He emphasized the significance of her selfless dedication to duty and her professional handling of a potentially dangerous situation.
The news comes after ASP Shehrbano’s meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters, where Gen Munir acknowledged the pivotal role played by Pakistani women in various fields.
He praised their talent, tenacity, and commitment, highlighting their contributions at home and on the international stage since the country’s independence.
