In a momentous address to the Sindh Assembly, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed profound gratitude to the people of Sindh for their increased support in the elections, vowing to fulfill the responsibility of serving the province with utmost dedication.
Acknowledging Bilawal Bhutto as the future leader of the country, Shah envisioned him as the Prime Minister through the people’s vote in the next elections, highlighting the legacy of the late Benazir Bhutto Shaheed as his political inspiration.
Reflecting on his political journey, Shah underscored his commitment to integrity and pledged to leave office with honor. He credited the Pakistan Peoplesโ Party (PPP) for entrusting him with the responsibility of chief minister for the third time.
Addressing speculations about potential challenges, Shah remained resolute, with Bilawal Bhutto expressing confidence in his leadership, even under adversity. Drawing on his deep connection to Karachi, Shah outlined initiatives aimed at welfare, including the Kisan card and hunger eradication programs.
Paying homage to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for his contributions to the nation’s constitution and Asif Zardari for its preservation, Shah urged support for Zardari in the presidential election, foreseeing his victory across provinces. He envisioned Bilawal Bhutto’s ascent to the Prime Ministership through the people’s vote in the future.
Acknowledging historical ties with Jamaat-e-Islami and emphasizing the pursuit of legal avenues amidst objections to the election results, Shah underscored transparency in the electoral process, particularly regarding Form 45.
Focusing on priorities such as clean drinking water and combating issues tarnishing Sindh’s reputation, Shah sought constructive feedback and called for effective leadership to address challenges like street crime and operations in sensitive areas. He lauded Bilawal Bhutto’s leadership during crises and pledged to uphold the PPP’s legacy of service while anticipating significant achievements in the Assembly’s upcoming term.
