PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat made a significant revelation, claiming that former President Asif Ali Zardari initiated contact with him to explore the possibility of forming a coalition government.
Marwat disclosed that Zardari had engaged in discussions until 11:00 pm the previous night, sharing this information with key PTI figures like Aleema Khan, Sheharyar Afridi, and Shandana Gulzar.
In the intricate political landscape, Marwat detailed that Zardari conveyed a distinct inclination toward forging a coalition with PTI over the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Despite Imran Khan’s clear stance against aligning with those he believes stole PTI’s mandate, Marwat expressed his intention to apprise Khan of this development in an upcoming meeting.
While the PTI previously announced coalition agreements with Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) for the central and Punjab governments and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, the situation took an unexpected turn when JI declined the partnership, citing alleged changes in PTI’s stance on the agreement.
Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari outlined the party’s decision to support PML-N in the formation of the central government. However, he explicitly stated the party’s refusal to actively participate in the Federal Cabinet, adding a layer of complexity to the evolving political dynamics in the country. The unfolding developments underscore the intricacies and uncertainties characterizing the ongoing negotiations and alliances within Pakistan’s political arena.
