Balochistan Government Extends Compensation to Victims of Recent Iranian Attack

Iranian Attack

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has taken swift action in response to the recent Iranian attack in Panjgur, announcing compensation for the families of women who lost their lives and the injured girls. Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki issued directives to provide compensation to the heirs of the two deceased women and the girls who sustained injuries during the Iranian raid.

In a statement from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, officials emphasized the immediate implementation of necessary measures to disburse compensation to the affected families. The move aims to address the consequences of the Iranian attack in Panjgur district.

In the wake of Iran’s violation of Pakistani airspace, the Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan took a firm stance, announcing the expulsion of the Iranian ambassador and recalling its own envoy from Tehran.

FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahrah Baloch asserted Pakistan’s right to respond to this “illegal act,” placing the responsibility for the consequences squarely on Iran. The spokesperson highlighted the unprovoked breach of Pakistan’s sovereignty as a violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

Conveying this message to the Iranian government, Pakistan also decided to suspend all high-level visits between the two countries, whether ongoing or planned in the coming days. The FO’s post-midnight statement detailed the impact of the strikes on Pakistani territory, resulting in the tragic deaths of two innocent children and injuries to three girls.

As the situation unfolds, the Balochistan government’s compensation initiative serves as a local response to address the immediate needs of the affected families in the aftermath of the Iranian attack.
