Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Addresses Rally in Dera Murad Jamali, Targets Nawaz Sharif

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed a gathering in Dera Murad Jamali, Balochistan, on Sunday, where he aimed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif without explicitly naming him. Bilawal claimed that efforts were underway to position a certain individual as the country‘s prime minister for the fourth time.

During his speech, Bilawal criticized the policies of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, particularly its economic strategies. He underscored that attempts were being made to bring back a person for a fourth term as prime minister, raising concerns about the potential consequences.

Bilawal, who has been leading the PPP’s election campaign, highlighted the dissatisfaction of people with leaders sitting in Islamabad. He emphasized that the people of Pakistan would not accept such decisions, asserting that they are not slaves to anyone.

The PPP Chairman advocated for the inclusion of new faces in politics, urging the nation to give them a chance while advising seasoned politicians to step back. However, his father, former President Asif Ali Zardari, expressed a different perspective in a recent interview, stating that Bilawal is still in the learning phase and that experience plays a crucial role in politics.

Addressing the ongoing political developments, Bilawal raised concerns about a conspiracy against Pakistan at the foreign level. He pointed out the rising challenges of terrorism and economic crises in the country.

Bilawal questioned the crowd about their willingness to see the return of the former finance minister of the PML-N, Ishaq Dar. Many experts have criticized Dar for his handling of the finance ministry, particularly concerning statements about the International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan program and nuclear capabilities.

In his commitments for the future, Bilawal vowed to double salaries and establish a university in Naseerabad, promising relief to farmers through the Benazir Kisaan card. He also highlighted the PPP’s efforts in building two million houses for flood victims in Sindh.

As the country approaches the delayed polls scheduled for February 8, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari remains an influential figure in the political landscape, addressing key issues and outlining his party’s vision for the future.
