ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar urged the judiciary to uphold constitutional responsibilities, emphasizing that the judiciary plays a crucial role in safeguarding the rights of political parties.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad on Thursday, Barrister Gohar highlighted the significance of the day, expressing concern that excluding 70 percent of the country’s popular party from the election would raise questions about the fairness of the electoral process.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disclosed the roster of 175 officially registered political parties. Among these listings, key party affiliations and their respective leaders have been revealed.
Notably, the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), presided over by President Abdul Aleem Khan, is among the registered entities.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) finds its registration linked to its former Chairman, Pervez Khattak, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) are registered under the names of Shehbaz Sharif and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, respectively.
The list encompasses various other significant party affiliations. The Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, is registered as the Peoples Party Parliamentarians under Asif Ali Zardari’s name.
Additionally, the Balochistan Awami Party is registered under the leadership of President Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, while the Awami Muslim League Pakistan (AMLP) finds its listing associated with President Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
Other prominent political groups featured on the roster include the Awami National Party (ANP) under Asfandyar Wali Khan’s leadership, the Balochistan National Party (BNP) led by Akhtar Mengal, and the Jamaat-e-Islami led by Sirajul Haq.
The Jamiat Ulema Islam, helmed by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), represented by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, are also among the listed parties.
Furthermore, the Muslim League Functional, headed by President Sibghatullah Pir Pagara, and the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) led by Saad Hussain Rizvi, are part of the registered political entities.
The National Democratic Movement is registered under the leadership of Central President Mohsen Dawar.
