Rockstar Games has announced the release of a trailer for the latest installment in the “Grand Theft Auto” (GTA) series, the first in a decade. The trailer for “Trailer 1” is scheduled to debut on December 5 at 1400 GMT, as revealed in a minimalist social media post featuring a sunset sky and palm trees.
While the post did not explicitly mention GTA, it aligns with media reports suggesting that the sixth installment will be set in a fictionalized version of Miami.

Rockstar Games is known for its secretive approach to releases, avoiding pre-announcing dates, contrary to industry norms. The studio experienced a major hack last year, leading to the leak of over 90 images and videos on social media, considered one of the largest leaks in video game history.
The release date for GTA VI remains uncertain, with speculation about a potential launch in the coming year or as late as 2025. Rockstar has a history of announcing games more than a year before their release.
GTA V, the previous installment, has achieved significant success, selling around 190 million copies, making it the best-selling game in the United States over the past decade based on both unit and dollar sales.
The GTA series, known for its controversial mix of violence, sex, and gangster life, has faced criticism for its depictions of women, caricatures of minorities, and the use of torture in previous episodes.
