QUETTA: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is scheduled to hold its foundation day rally at Quetta’s Ayub Stadium on Thursday.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Zardari have been in Quetta since Wednesday and are expected to address the rally.
Organizers have completed preparations, setting up 25,000 chairs in the stadium, but the party is confident of drawing a crowd that exceeds the venue’s capacity.
Alongside party workers, PPP leaders anticipate the participation of numerous tribal leaders and electables in the Quetta rally. The PPP was founded on November 30, 1967, in Lahore.
NAB Records Nawaz Sharif’s Statement in Toshakhana Case, Informs Accountability Court
Meanwhile, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Pakistan has informed the Lahore accountability court that it has recorded the statement of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in the Toshakhana reference.
The case involves allegations that former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, to extend illegal benefits to Nawaz Sharif and President Asif Zardari, allowed the retention of vehicles gifted to them by foreign states. The accused allegedly retained the vehicles against a nominal payment of 15% of the total value.

During the recent hearing, Nawaz Sharif’s counsel informed the court that his client had joined the investigation and provided answers to the questionnaire related to the reference. The court adjourned the hearing till December 20.
