Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF), Lieutenant General Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Mutair, met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, as announced by the military’s media affairs wing on Monday.

As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the discussions between both parties encompassed various areas of mutual interest, including collaboration in defense, security, and military training. They also touched upon the regional situation and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Currently, efforts by Qatar, Egypt, the United States, the European Union, and other nations are underway to extend the temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The temporary ceasefire agreement involved the exchange of dozens of hostages between both sides.
Since the commencement of the Israel-Hamas conflict on October 7, over 15,000 Palestinians, including more than 6,200, have lost their lives due to Israeli aggression and bombardment on civilian sites, including hospitals.
The visiting dignitary commended the Pakistan Army’s efforts in combating terrorism and expressed profound admiration for the sacrifices made to bring peace to the region.
Gen Munir expressed gratitude, stating, “Pakistan deeply values its strategic and brotherly ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
Upon arriving at the GHQ, a well-turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honor to the visiting dignitary.
