ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Overseas Employment Corporation (POEC) and NESMA & Partners, a prominent contracting company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, inked an agreement at the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh.
The agreement signifies a significant stride in collaboration between the two nations, aiming to channel Pakistani manpower to support Saudi Arabia’s ambitious infrastructure projects.
POEC, a government entity overseeing Pakistani workers’ deployment abroad, joined forces with NESMA & Partners, renowned for its extensive portfolio of major construction projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This partnership heralds an opportunity for Pakistani workers to exhibit their skills and actively contribute to the success of crucial infrastructure endeavors in Saudi Arabia.
The accord materialized following a meeting between Special Assistant to Prime Minister Jawad Sohrab Malik and NESMA & Partners CEO, Samer Essam Abdul Samad.
Malik conveyed deep appreciation to Samer Essam Abdul Samad and NESMA & Partners for their steadfast commitment to hiring Pakistani manpower, emphasizing the commendable dedication and hard work that Pakistani workers are known for.
Anticipated outcomes include substantial job prospects for Pakistani workers in Saudi Arabia, fortifying economic ties between the two nations.
The gathering also hosted the Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ahmad Farooq, the Director-General of the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), and the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, alongside community welfare attachés.
Notably, Saudi Arabia hosts the largest population of Pakistani expatriates and stands as a significant source of remittance inflows into Pakistan.
