The video, which featured her face morphed onto that of British resident Zara Patel, has been circulating widely on various social platforms. Mandanna has spoken out against the misuse of technology and called for immediate action.

On the micro-blogging platform X, Rashmika Mandanna expressed her deep distress over a disturbing deepfake video featuring her, highlighting the widespread fear such incidents evoke. She emphasized that this technology misuse poses a threat not only to her but to anyone vulnerable to harm.

Mandanna also conveyed her gratitude for the support and protection she receives from her family, friends, and well-wishers as a woman and an actress. She contemplated how challenging it would have been to handle such a situation had it occurred during her school or college years.

Mandanna emphasized the importance of addressing this issue as a community and with urgency to prevent further cases of identity theft. She tagged official law enforcement agencies such as Cyberabad Police, Maharashtra Cyber, and Cyber Dost in her post.

Several colleagues from the entertainment industry, including Amitabh Bachchan, Mrunal Thakur, and Naga Chaitanya, have also voiced their support for Mandanna and highlighted the misuse of artificial intelligence, calling for legal action.

On the professional front, Mandanna is set to appear alongside Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor in the highly anticipated film ‘Animal.’ Additionally, she has Telugu-language projects ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ and ‘Rainbow’ in the pipeline.
