Nuclear Submarine
The Russian defense ministry announced that the new nuclear-powered submarine Imperator Alexander III successfully conducted a test launch of the Bulava ballistic missile, designed for carrying nuclear warheads.
In a statement on the Telegram messaging app, the ministry noted that firing a ballistic missile represents the final phase of state tests, following which a decision will be made to accept the cruiser into the Navy.

President Vladimir Putin has advocated for Russia to uphold its nuclear deterrent capabilities in response to what he perceives as growing security threats, particularly as relations between Moscow and the West have deteriorated over Russia’s war in Ukraine, initiated in 2022.
The intercontinental missile, launched from an underwater position in the White Sea off Russia’s northern coast, successfully struck a target thousands of kilometers away on the Kamchatka peninsula in the Russian Far East.
The ministry did not specify the date of the test.
