KARACHI: Shehbaz Sharif, the President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has facilitated a meeting between the MQM-P delegation and the PML-N’s supreme leader, Nawaz Sharif.
The invitation for this meeting was extended by Shehbaz Sharif during a telephonic conversation with MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. The MQM delegation, consisting of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, and Mustafa Kamal, is scheduled to travel to Lahore tomorrow for their meeting with Nawaz Sharif.
The discussions between Shehbaz Sharif and Khalid Maqbool encompassed a range of political matters, including the current political landscape, their collaborative efforts, preparations for the upcoming general elections, and potential political alliances.
Additionally, they explored the idea of forming a robust political alliance in the province of Sindh and collaborating against the People’s Party, as per undisclosed sources.
Significantly, the PML-N has officially declared that its former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, has recommenced his political activities. Nawaz Sharif has already conducted meetings with senior party leaders at the PML-N secretariat, and it is anticipated that he will lead various political gatherings and spearhead the party’s election campaign.
