ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced Eagle as the election symbol for the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.
This decision was reached after several weeks of deliberation following the party’s formal registration by the ECP on October 5.
The IPP, established by Jahangir Tareen and a group of defectors from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was founded on June 8.
Former PTI leader Aleem Khan assumed the position of the party’s president just four days later.

Initially, the party gained traction as it attracted more defectors from PTI, which was grappling with the aftermath of events on May 9. However, the party’s momentum gradually waned.
Nevertheless, the party recently made headlines when Farrukh Habib and Andleeb Abbas joined its ranks in October.
It’s worth noting that in the previous general election, the ‘Eagle’ symbol had been allocated to General (retired) Pervez Musharraf’s All Pakistan Muslim League.
