ISLAMABAD: In a statement released by Pakistan’s military media wing, the country has further enhanced its “deterrence” and “strategic stability” through a successful flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza oversaw the test, along with senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Strategic Forces Command, and scientists and engineers from strategic organizations.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the test flight aimed to re-validate various design, technical parameters, and performance evaluations of different sub-systems within the weapon system. This missile system intends to strengthen deterrence and enhance strategic stability in the region, aligning with the concept of “Full Spectrum Deterrence” as part of the overall framework of “Credible Minimum Deterrence.”
