FBI agents delivered alarming messages to several Sikh individuals in California this summer, warning them of potential risks to their lives. The FBI alerted the Sikh community following the assassination of Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen, outside a Sikh temple in British Columbia in June, as reported by The Intercept.

Pritpal Singh, a US citizen and coordinator for the American Sikh Caucus Committee, disclosed that he and two other Sikh Americans received calls and visits from the FBI after Nijjar’s death.

Furthermore, in a startling revelation, Sukhman Dhami, the coordinator of Ensaaf, a California-based nonprofit group, stated that Sikhs throughout the US received police warnings regarding political threats.

In an unexpected diplomatic move, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expelled the head of India’s foreign intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), stationed in Ottawa.

Also, this action came with accusations of India’s involvement in the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June, causing a further deterioration in the already strained relations between Ottawa and New Delhi.

Moreover, after concluding his five-day visit to the UN headquarters in New York, interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq traveled to London on Saturday. Speculations suggested a ‘secret rendezvous’ with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in the British capital.

In a Friday evening news conference in New York, Mr. Kakar hinted at his return home to collaborate with the Election Commission. He stated that the new government would handle long-term relations like negotiations with the IMF. When asked about a possible meeting with Nawaz Sharif, he gave no response.

Regarding Mr. Sharif’s October return to Pakistan, he asserted that the former premier would be “subject to Pakistan’s laws.”
