The Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) has issued the 12th edition of the Red Book, which contains the names of 156 highly sought-after individuals involved in human smuggling. This initiative aims to combat the serious problem of human trafficking within the country.

The Red Book includes the identities of these smugglers, who are facing multiple cases filed against them in FIA’s human trafficking departments. The FIA Lahore zone is seeking 20 wanted human traffickers, while the Faisalabad zone is searching for 71, and the Islamabad zone is looking for 34. In both the Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) zones, authorities are actively pursuing two human smugglers.
In recent developments, the FIA’s anti-human smuggling cell apprehended yet another smuggler in Gujranwala. Rizwan Shah actively participated in human smuggling and engaged in violent activities against his victims. Rizwan has a history of abducting victims and extorting additional money from their families. Disturbing videos of his victims enduring torture circulated on social media.
The FIA had been conducting raids for the past seven days to locate and arrest him, as he operated as part of a criminal gang. According to the FIA spokesperson, a case has been registered against Rizwan under the Emigration and Smuggling of Migrants Act.
Notably, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Rana Sanaullah, previously informed the National Assembly that around 350 Pakistani individuals were among the victims of a recent tragic incident in the Mediterranean Sea off Greece, where an overloaded boat capsized.
