The interim government of Sindh carried out a significant reshuffle, transferring over 40 police officers and nearly all administrative officers across different districts in the province. However, a disagreement arose between the Sindh government and the Election Commission of Pakistan concerning the selection of six provincial secretaries.

The ECP approved the transfer requests for 40 police officers, as well as the transfer orders for four commissioners and several deputy commissioners.
However, the ECP did not approve the appointment of at least six secretaries:
1. Dr. Kazim Hussain as Finance Secretary
2. Shireen Mustafa as Secretary of School Education
3. Muhammad Iqbal Memon as Home Secretary of Sindh
4. Niaz Ahmad Abbasi as Secretary of Irrigation
5. Nisar Abbas as Secretary of Food
6. Najam Shah as Secretary of the Forests and Wildlife Department
Despite these disagreements, the ECP did grant approval for the replacement of key police officers across the province. Khadim Hussin Rind was appointed as the new Karachi police chief, and deputy inspectors general (DIGs) of police for various regions were also changed.
Furthermore, SPs (Superintendents of Police) and SSPs (Senior Superintendents of Police) in 31 districts were replaced with the ECP’s approval.
The ECP issued notifications for the appointment of commissioners in various cities, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Shaheed Benazirabad. Additionally, deputy commissioners in all districts of Sindh, including Karachi, underwent transfers as part of these changes.
