The Pakistan-China joint air training exercise, named Shaheen X, is set to commence tomorrow. This exercise is being hosted by China and will take place in Jiuquan and Yinchuan. According to China’s Ministry of National Defense, the ‘Shaheen X’ training exercise will continue till mid-September.

This joint training exercise marks the tenth iteration of the Shaheen series. The aim is to deepen practical cooperation between the Chinese and Pakistani air forces. It also seeks to enhance the level of actual combat training for both nations’ military personnel.
The exercise is designed to improve the professional skills and operational readiness of the air forces and to foster mutual understanding of each other’s combat capabilities, thereby promoting interoperability between the two forces.
