ISLAMABAD: On August 13-14, Saudi Arabia will host an Islamic conference in Makkah, bringing together 150 religious leaders and muftis from 85 countries.
The goal of the conference, approved by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, is to promote moderation and address issues related to extremism and terrorism.
The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance is organizing the two-day conference, which aims to establish connections among scholars and religious departments worldwide.
The conference will feature seven-panel discussions focusing on promoting tolerance, and coexistence among people, and combating extremist ideas and violence. The event seeks to highlight the role of these religious leaders in fostering unity in the Muslim world and contributing to global efforts against extremism.
