ISLAMABAD: The federal government took a significant step by initiating the outsourcing of operations at the Islamabad International Airport for a duration of 15 years.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued an international tender, requiring all applications to be submitted by November 8.

In recent days, attempts to reach a consensus between the government and civil aviation employees regarding the contentious issue of airport outsourcing have proven unsuccessful. Consequently, the employees’ union, JIKA, remains consistent in continuing their protest until their demands are satisfied.
During the protest, JIKA Secretary Sheikh Khalid addressed the media, emphasizing their unwavering stance against the outsourcing of airports. He reiterated that the protest movement would persist until their demands received recognition and approval.
