Indian actress Celina Jaitly
Indian actress Celina Jaitly has filed a complaint with the National Commission of Women (NCW) of India against Umair Sandhu, a Pakistani film critic who accused her of indecent affair with two showbiz stars.
Jaitly said she has been facing accusations’ from allegations made by a self-proclaimed “journalist and film critic” Umair Sandhu, who claims to be from Pakistan.

In an interview with India Today, Jaitly stated, “This person’s derogatory portrayal of me has subjected me to verbal abuse, humiliation, and widespread negative attention, regardless of the media outlet’s stance.”
On a platform formerly known as Twitter, Sandhu levied serious allegations against the No Entry actor earlier this year. These derogatory claims quickly spread across social media, prompting Jaitly to lodge a formal complaint against him.
In April, she officially reported him to India’s National Commission of Women (NCW), which subsequently escalated the complaint to the Ministry of External Affairs. The ministry engaged with the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi to request an investigation into the incident.
Jaitly, who made her debut alongside Feroz Khan’s son Fardeen Khan in Janasheen, became aware of the viral content on April 11, 2023. She recounted, “Upon logging into my account, I was confronted with the disturbing and viral content he had fabricated for his personal gain. Numerous individuals tagged me, bringing Umair Sandhu’s outlandish claims to my attention.”
Acknowledging that, as an actor, she has had to navigate public reactions to her performances, Jaitly expressed bewilderment at the notion of someone creating content “solely for personal gain.” She characterized it as a form of “online violence.”
The ‘Golmaal Returns’ actor further emphasized the distinction between freedom of speech and the use of verbal violence to tarnish someone’s reputation.
Celina Jaitly is one of the renowned Indian actresses.
