ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, arrived in Islamabad for a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. During his stay, the Iranian Foreign Minister will call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to exchange views on the consensus between the leadership of both countries, with the aim of advancing bilateral relations.
He will also hold talks with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the following day, discussing all aspects of the bilateral relationship and the emerging regional situation.
Additionally, he is scheduled to meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Chairman of the Senate to discuss parliamentary linkages between the two brotherly nations.
The visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister presents an opportunity for both sides to discuss a wide range of bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on regional connectivity, energy, and economic and investment ties between the two countries
Before his arrival, a high-ranking delegation, including the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs and senior officials from various ministries such as trade, roads and urban development, investment, agriculture, and energy, had preceded the Foreign Minister to conduct preparatory meetings.
The visit of Foreign Minister Abdollahian offers a platform for the two countries to discuss their entire spectrum of bilateral ties, with a special focus on regional connectivity, energy, and economic and investment collaborations between Pakistan and Iran.
